What We Offer

The Colorado FAIR Plan offers commercial and residential property coverage. Our coverage differs from that of traditional insurance plans.

The FAIR Plan only provides basic property insurance with a $750,000 limit for residential property and contents or a $5,000,000 limit for commercial property and business personal property. Coverage is limited to essential protections such as loss due to fire, lightning, and smoke. Some limited extended coverages may be purchased for damage from Windstorms or Hail; Explosions, Riot, or Civil Commotion; Vehicles; Volcanic Eruption; Vandalism and Malicious Mischief. General exclusions will include Ordinance or Law, Earth Movement, Water Damage, Power Failure, Neglect, War, Nuclear Hazard, Intentional Loss, and Government Action.

FAIR Plan policies only provide coverage for the actual cash value (ACV) of the property and contents. They are NOT replacement cost coverage. ACV is determined by the replacement cost less depreciation.

There are several resources that can help you better understand Colorado FAIR Plan products and determine if they are right for you.
