We recommend that you start the process by contacting your agent to determine if your policy covers the incident. If it does, then you can use the following information to prepare your claim. Currently, all claim processing takes place via phone with assistance from a member of our customer care team.

If you’re ready to file a claim, call our toll-free number (833) 554-5425. Team members are available Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm MT.

After Reporting a Claim

What are the next steps?

Once you’ve reported your incident, a claims file will be opened and assigned to a claims adjuster. Your adjuster will contact you within one business day. You may be asked to provide photos, receipts, or contractor estimates. Your adjuster will advise you of the most convenient way to provide them. If necessary, make any temporary or minor repairs to protect your property from further damage.

Remember

  • Consult with your agent to ensure that your policy covers the damage that occurred.

  • Take photos of the damage.

  • Keep receipts and records of payment for any temporary repairs for review by your adjuster.

  • Do not begin making permanent repairs until a Colorado FAIR Plan-assigned adjuster or representative has contacted you and advised you on the next steps regarding your property claim.
